We’re Ronson Music Studio, and we’re passionate about music. RMS is our family business and we enjoy sharing our musical expertise with students of all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned musician, or just starting out, we will customize your lessons to fit your musical goals.
Anneke Ronson is a multi-genre vocalist and pianist.
Trained in musical theater voice from an early age, Anneke enjoys helping her students find their passion for music through singing. Anneke has studied voice with Leslie Tinnaro, Scott Blois, and Desiree LaVertu. Trained in Knight-Thompson Speechwork, Anneke has an expert ear for diction and tone. She is a prolific performer and has appeared in over thirty-five productions in her lifetime, portraying varied roles such as Wendy in Peter Pan, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical the Musical, and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof.
Finding great joy in live music, Anneke sings and plays keyboard in a classic rock band. Her breadth of knowledge spans Rodgers and Hammerstein to the Grateful Dead. She studied piano with Sandra Barba, focusing on classical, jazz, and popular styles and techniques. Anneke is trained in jazz, and studied both jazz vocals and piano in college. Anneke earned her Bachelor’s degree from Occidental College and has over five years teaching and musical direction experience.
Anneke loves teaching and helping students discover themselves through music. She believes arts education is invaluable. An enthusiastic teacher, Anneke has taught all ages and tailors her lessons to each individual student, pulling from several different pedagogies. Her studio is in Long Beach, CA.
Evan Ronson is a dynamic guitarist and songwriter.
With an unmatched passion for music, Evan offers an approachable method for learning guitar. Trained in rock, country, folk, pop, and jazz, Evan enjoys introducing his students to a broad range of musical styles. Evan has been playing for twenty-five years and studied with renowned touring/session guitarist Jon Sosin. Evan offers a bespoke method of teaching, ranging from sight-reading to ear training to a chordal approach. Also an accomplished songwriter, Evan has performed solo and in multiple bands across Southern California. His stage presence and virtuosity combined with his friendly personality make him an excellent teacher for students of all ages and abilities.
Evan plays multiple styles of music, and is well versed on both electric and acoustic guitar. From flat picking to jazz chords, Evan is able to demonstrate a wide variety of guitar techniques. He has recorded and played music in bands across Southern California and North Carolina. His musical influences include Norman Blake, Chet Baker, and Bob Dylan. Also an experienced vocalist, Evan has a great ear for harmony and can coach students who wish to sing and play simultaneously.
Evan enjoys introducing his students to new musical artists and genres. Happiest when playing guitar, he is able to pass that joy to his students. Evan cherishes the opportunity to guide the next generation of musicians.
